We uploaded the single to the site where people could download it. Apparently, they've decided to take a few days off or something, so the song won't be up until possibly next weekend. Yeah, we're fucking pissed.
UPDATE!!!!: "I do apologize, but I'm having issues with the site's HTML coding. I'm resolving it ASAP, but until then, we can't upload the single for download. I Will try to get the preview of it uploaded to YouTube in the next hour." - Taylor Updated: Preview of Cover Art Updated: On the single page, song lengths added. Saturday, April 28, 2012, we will release to the world our first studio track. The single is to contain 3 versions of the song: one will be the official song, the other two are slightly edited; the single will also contain a live recording of us playing "Paranoid".
Keep watching the countdown. It might ACTUALLY countdown faster if you do. How many of you ACTUALLY listened to the demo of "War Strain"? Well, if you didn't, sucks...it really does. Matt and Taylor finished recording the lead riffs today. All that's left for the actually music side is the mixing. However, we still need to do our photo shoot. The two locations are downtown Prosper (same as "Back in the Day") and downtown McKinney. These shots will include all the band members currently in the band. More importantly, all of our pictures will be taken for 1) the single cover art, 2) the EP cover art, as well as the inside booklets, 3) just for the hell of it. Well, off to the mixing!!! OH!!! AND FOR THOSE WHO MISSED IT, HERE IS THE VIDEO OF "PARANOID" LIVE!!! Friday was a successful night, putting W.O.L.F. back where we should be. The performance was talked about quite a bit at school, so we're happy. The remixing of "Paranoid" is almost done, so it'll sound great on the single release.
Speaking of "single release," we've finished literally every part of "War Strained"...excluding the lead guitar...probably the most anticipated part of the song. Along with the release, we'll have multiple new store items, begin allowing people to pre-order our EP, and start asking around for gigs. Got one for us? Let us know so we can update you on how long it'll take to prep. Tyler's back in, so we're back to last month's line-up. Still no bass player. Taylor's been asked several times if Tommy Sheppard would be the new member, but his reply was, "Tommy is a great friend, and his personality-his spirit-is perfect for us. What keeps us from allowing him in is that he JUST started bass...two days before the talent show. That's not enough experience to play stuff, like "Dark Matter." Tommy just needs more time. Another thing is that he's more into punk, which is not W.O.L.F. I can see him in a punk band twenty years from now, but not something our style." While W.O.L.F. is still short a member, we haven't slowed. In fact, we've advanced quite a bit, even with the failings of our first demo CD AND demo album. You'll be seeing us live soon enough!!! Yeah, great title! Friday was a success for the most part, but a few of the techs backstage screwed up the performance. The drums over powered all but the vocals. Taylor had everything ready, but the techs insisted the volume for the guitars be turned down. Not pleasant. Due to this, while we are going to release a video of the performance, the release for the single will be re-mixed.
Also, W.O.L.F. has had a little dip in our spirits, as Metallica, our main influence, has supposedly called it quits. Read the article here: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/james_hetfield_its_come_to_that_time_we_cant_be_metallica_anymore.html?no_takeover |
